There are a number of reasons why the policy online is cheaper that your renewal. The quote obtained online has the online new business, not a renewal, as such different discounts are added to it, up to 10% for motor and 30% for home and the details you have entered are more up to date than your renewal details which could be up to a year old. This can all mean that in certain circumstances the new business online quote can work out cheaper than your renewal quote.
