Q:How much does contents insurance cover?

Your contents insurance should cover the cost of replacing all your household goods and personal belongings as new.
As it can be difficult to assess this cost, our contents insurance automatically offers cover for up to £40,000. On occasions we may feel that our standard limit of contents cover is not adequate for you, in which case we will show an estimate of what the minimum replacement costs should be. The replacement figure is based on the size and type of your home and is intended as a guide only. If you need a higher sum insured you can increase the levels using the "change sums insured" button on the quotation page.
