Your selected question
Q:Does my travel insurance cover me for strikes?
A:
Yes. As long as you booked your trip and bought your travel insurance before you could have heard about the strike, you’d be covered.
You wouldn’t be covered if the strike had been in the news before you booked. So, if airline workers had been considering action, or a transport union was discussing a strike, and it had been in the news already, you wouldn’t be covered, unless you’d already booked your trip and taken out the insurance.
All the claim limits, terms and conditions for your policy are inside your policy book.
