Q:Can I claim a refund through my travel insurance if I cancel my trip due to terrorist activity?

This is dealt with on a case by case basis. For example, if you or a close family member is injured in a terrorist attack and can't travel then we will look at paying a cancellation claim. If your resort overseas is subject to a terrorist attack, you should speak to your tour operator or travel agent first to see about re–booking your trip to another time or destination and we would look to rearrange your travel insurance for you.
